That is the problem, you ask for distro wide rule that unit files are fine
as Markos says.

We should not have any darn rule just to please one project, the best
council should do is to say that systemd in main tree is fine (which it
already had) and that maitnainers can offload the maintenance burden for
the file to systemd team if they don't want to care about it.
