In the end, I've chosen to go for replacing the sort-key with a visible
link-category, e.g.:

- [Frobnicate](https://wiki.gentoo.org/Frobnicate)
  **Gentoo now frobnicates everything 10 times faster.**
  Thanks to the new release of Frobnicate project blah blah blah blah.
