Dear all,

in two weeks from now the council will meet again, so now it's time to raise
and prepare items that the council should put on the agenda to discuss or vote
on.

Please reply to this message with agenda items.

If you have already brought up agenda items on the mailing lists since the
last meeting, please also repeat them in a reply here, including links to the
original discussion threads.

The agenda will be sent out on Monday 2017-02-06.

Cheers,
Andreas

I would like the Council to revisit GLEP 27 [1]. The GLEP is
in accepted state since mid-2004. Considering that its text is vague,
the idea does not solve many real-life problems and no attempt at
implementation was successful, I think it'd be reasonable to mark it
'deferred' or 'rejected' instead.

+1

Perhaps we could spur a discussion (unless there's a conclusion I
haven't found yet?) on this so maintainers know how to correctly deal
with UID/GID in ebuilds and openrc scripts.
