Hey all,
it's Valentine's day soon. And what better way to celebrate that, than
by adding a new member to our dev roster? Yeah, I'm thinking we should
make this a tradition! And to launch it off, it's my pleasure to
announce the latest addition: Lovely Matt Jolly from Australia! Matt is
widely known all around the community, be it in IRC or reviewing user
contributions, and with nearly 600 commits to the ::gentoo tree so far,
he finally gets to merge those contributions on his own. For Chromium
users out there, the browser has mostly been in Matt's hands for half a
year already. Expect even faster version bumps and fixes now!
Here's what Matt says about himself:
"I'm an Aussie that grew up all over; including a few years in the USA.
I currently live in Brisbane, Australia with my partner, now 4 cats
after a recent foster, a snake, and a Shikoku Inu (japanese dog) with
another on the way.
I can often be found tinkering in my homelab or messing with weird /
retro hardware. I can be (semi-regularly) caught physically at Home UNIX
Machine Brisbane User Group (HUMBUG) meetings when I’m not otherwise
broken or busy.
In my work life I administer High Performance Computing systems (beowulf
clusters and whatnot), and when I'm off the keyboard I'm playing with my
animals, restoring retro computing equipment and gaming consoles (or
using them), brewing beer, enjoying the beach or hanging (sometimes
literally) at the local climbing gym."
Please give him a warm welcome!
(PS. Spots open in the Mozilla project too...)
