Back when I was on the Council, there was a time that I've been approached that my behavior is not appropriate for a public Gentoo representative, even if the comments in question had nothing to do with the Council matters. Today, I would like to ask: do you think that Council members should lead the community by example? Should their reputation be untainted, should they be able to withhold their anger even when they believe they have reasons enough to attack others? Should they not participate in flames, unless only to extinguish them? Is it considered acceptable that a nominee for election calls other developers inhumane or delusional on the public mailing lists? Is it good that he throws false accusations without verifying them? Is it fine that yet another nominee runs an election campaign focused on attacking other developers, and apparently trying to get votes by finding 'a common enemy'? Should such people become the public faces of Gentoo? Or should they maybe be professional enough to withdraw their candidacy after discrediting themselves in the middle of election? --=20 Best regards, Micha=C5=82 G=C3=B3rny --=-Gujw4Kt+KUvTVNmQ4QfJ Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" Content-Description: This is a digitally signed message part Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iQGTBAABCgB9FiEEx2qEUJQJjSjMiybFY5ra4jKeJA4FAl710jVfFIAAAAAALgAo aXNzdWVyLWZwckBub3RhdGlvbnMub3BlbnBncC5maWZ0aGhvcnNlbWFuLm5ldEM3 NkE4NDUwOTQwOThEMjhDQzhCMjZDNTYzOUFEQUUyMzI5RTI0MEUACgkQY5ra4jKe JA7xBwf9G3PVf7Ou+0tXP+xLO+OUA1ZrJhYohpEeHeaTckY4eu8t57s3LfsHaVli ogdb3Rg4CLzDxlDWO1hCc6Dt352TuFBEk/dy2IReTKaHz7Jmn6kzVRgaI6we2MBt ADKR1FJ+1/EMOnoDLISO7y21uCuSFR/1D1nQI/+Zv3fOcaj8tsmBZqnC0iidg3jn 2bgDNptFSWQYiNGt8yGsQ1IUvrWB6EnPOwLlbxA0XvZT7GZDM6BpGbW4um9huE0U TNzG4+KsvQu5bbslbQzVDObvOBb79/dLWp52Jhp/qYzLnpJJA2eUV5kgiA7MyWqz KYxde3NLRugi+kgxIAap0qvITHmdRw== =oo08 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --=-Gujw4Kt+KUvTVNmQ4QfJ--
