If I am nominated by multiple other people, I might reconsider, but it's going to take a lot to sway me. Generally, Council & Trustee terms are mutually exclusive, you cannot hold both at the same time per the bylaws. While I am presently a trustee and up for re-election this trustee cycle, I have stated previously that I do not intend to run in the next trustee election, to take a personal break. Should no others candidates for the Foundation Treasurer be forthcoming, I will continue to offer help in maintaining those records, but not to be a trustee. I will however continue to be the Infrastructure Liaison officer to the Foundation. -- Robin Hugh Johnson Gentoo Linux: Dev, Infra Lead, Foundation Trustee & Treasurer E-Mail : robbat2@gentoo.org GnuPG FP : 11ACBA4F 4778E3F6 E4EDF38E B27B944E 34884E85 GnuPG FP : 7D0B3CEB E9B85B1F 825BCECF EE05E6F6 A48F6136 [-- Attachment #2: Digital signature --] [-- Type: application/pgp-signature, Size: 1113 bytes --] ^ permalink raw reply [flat|nested] 56+ messages in thread

But I haven't been active for the past two years or so. I requested retirement last February (bug #175274), but it hasn't been processed yet. May I take the opportunity to request that finally gets done? I still get lots of mail from Gentoo, but I really am not seeing myself return. I would log in and remove myself from various email aliases, but I would have to go through the process of updating my keys first... Also, seeing bugs and packages still assigned to me four months after I requested retirement, is not exactly an encouraging sign for the state of Gentoo. And if anyone is curious as to the reasons why I left, it is mostly because my interests shifted. I'm spending my free time now mostly on making music, which is just so much more convenient on Windows than it is on Linux. https://soundcloud.com/ablauto if anyone is interested... Thank you all for the good times I had in Gentoo, especially Patrick Lauer, Steve Dibb, and the members of the Qt team. I wish you well in your endeavors! -- Cheers, Ben | yngwin ^ permalink raw reply [flat|nested] 56+ messages in thread
