I really don't see the point of this. Yes, there are a few messages on
our mailing lists that some of us don't want to see. But as long as
we're not drowning in in a tsunami of spam that practically DOSes our
infrastructure, I think we're better of letting the *readers* take care
of filtering.

All MUAs I've used so far provide filtering tools to enact policies
such as "ignore all mails by <user>", or even "ignore all threads
started by <user>" without too much effort. Why do you think this isn't
sufficient?

IMHO, if there's one problem with our MLs we should strive to solve,
it's the unfortunate tendency of technial discussions devolving into
huge bikeshedding contests that achieve nothing other than making
everyone angry.
