Council members,

After looking over the documentation I know about [1] [2] [3], I think
it is safe to Say we are prepared to move forward with stating that the
preparations for early boot mechanisms are complete. So, I am asking
the council to bring the following statement to a vote in the next
	meeting:

The Council agrees that all preparations for dropping support for
separate /usr without an initramfs or similar boot mechanism are
	complete.

If anyone reading this disagrees about the preparations being complete,
please file bugs and make them block the tracker [4] before the next
meeting.

Thanks,

William
