No, the "central contributor" was what Gentoo would term a "bug
wrangler", and the performance metrics given are related to how bugs are
handled. The paper shows that there is a correlation between running
various graph metrics on bugzilla, and who is doing the bug wrangling.
It's not looking at commits, changes, delivered features or anything
like that.
