It is a pleasure for me to introduce another dev, this time from the US:
Matt "prometheanfire" Thode already supported the hardened team, especially the selinux subproject
and will join them as a developer now.
This is, how he introduces himself:
> Just moved to san antonio, so getting to know the area.
> Single, only family in the state is myself. Work at rackspace.
> I watch starcraft 2 and play random games to relax. I will skydive when I have time.
> I may also pick up lockpicking and/or ham radio.
> I have a deep interest in science (as far as you can go without formal education).
> Because of this, I have a great respect for blueness.
> Other then that, I've been using Gentoo for about 7 years of my 11 using linux.
Since that actually means, that at least 2 active devs are working on selinux, please give him a
warm welcome with the usual amount of new bugs :-)

Yeah, been pulling from there...
But a single source does not inspire confidence. Besides, I got much better
throughput from ftp.jaist.ac.jp than jmbviscetto.name ;-)

Pandu / others,
so there's no confusion, the hardened team is not responsible for
creating the stages (hardened or not).
If there's anyone to "blame" for this, it's the release team and me in
particular as the one responsible for the weekly builds for amd64 / x86.
For anyone interested, this is assumed to be an issue with the release
box doing the weekly stages[1]. That's why I've been creating new
stages on my own hardware[2], using the official specs, and that we
should be soon moving to a new box. The new box is similar to my own
server, so there's no reason to believe the hardened stages will fail
to build there.

Just not to be misunderstood, I'm not blaming anyone. In fact, I greatly am
respectful of Jorge's effort.
It *was* somewhat inconvenient to spend hours to upgrade
stage3-amd64-hardened to gcc-4.5.3, but I have learned my lesson, and now
maintain my own "stage3.1" tarballs.
I'm just thinking about people new to Gentoo who are looking for the above
stage3.
Anyways, thanks for the explanation, Jorge! Much appreciated :-)
