All,

The votes cast in the Gentoo council election results for the year 2011
to 2012 ranked the candidates as follows :-

dberkholz
jmbsvicetto
grobian
chainsaw
ulm
betelgeuse
hwoarang
c1pher
patrick
leio
bicatali
dilfridge
_reopen_nominations_

As there are seven seats, the top seven:-
dberkholz
jmbsvicetto
grobian
chainsaw
ulm
betelgeuse
hwoarang

are elected.

The election officials wish to apologise for the delay in the
announcement, this was due to some communication problems among the
offcials.

The other election emails will be generated as soon as I have the
scripts from the elections project leader.

On behalf of the election officials.

git+ssh://git.gentoo.org/elections.git

Contains all of the elections scripts and input data (yes, ballots and
voter lists are here, because those are public).

If somebody wants to hack on votify + countify, here are the largest
improvements needed:
1. Read the start/end time files (or better yet the details file),
   instead of stat mtime values.
2. Allow concurrent open elections.

Hello folks,

The complete output of countify was accidentally missed in the
previous email. The output shows the details of how the ranking was
calculated using the Condorcet method. The full output is attached
with this email for your perusal.

Apologies for the mix-up.

On behalf of the election officials,

Nirbheek Chauhan

git clone git+ssh://git@git.gentoo.org/proj/elections.git works.

Can you please add this repo to http://sources.gentoo.org/gitweb/ ?
(I think this is the matching gitweb instance? The URL in the commit
mails does not work.)

Further, can you add a pointer to the old repos:
http://sources.gentoo.org/cgi-bin/viewvc.cgi/votify/
http://sources.gentoo.org/cgi-bin/viewvc.cgi/gentoo-src/votify/
