Self nomination (and=20 > acceptance) is permitted.=20 My kids are finally old enough that I have free time, so I'd also like=20 to run for the council again. I served on the council for two terms from 2007-2009. I'd welcome the=20 opportunity to provide the perspective of someone who has a long history=20 with Gentoo and a deep understanding of our philosophy and culture (I=20 joined in 2003 =E2=80=94 wow, that's 8 years!). I plan on sending more deta= il=20 later, but my interests as a council member include: - creating a great community, - making progress now instead of waiting years for perfection, - removing bureaucracy in favor of more agile development & meritocracy, - promoting innovation from individual developers instead of expecting it to all come from the top, and - getting rid of policies that were created for a single incident,=20 because they should only exist for patterns of repeated problems. --=20 Thanks, Donnie Donnie Berkholz Sr. Developer, Gentoo Linux Blog: http://dberkholz.com --+g7M9IMkV8truYOl Content-Type: application/pgp-signature -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.17 (GNU/Linux) iEYEABECAAYFAk3yEqkACgkQXVaO67S1rts5zQCgmR7p6YC5VntIvgA11ogwlC0F XrwAoJkWOKSxnO5tU4xaz77Wb58B3qe4 =485q -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --+g7M9IMkV8truYOl--
