I don't even know what words I could use to change your mind.

The only way I see right now to avoid you breaking stuff is removing your 
commit rights, because you actively do not show signs of common sense or an 
ability to learn.

Policy suggestion:

"Don't break no shit. If you do, fix it. If you don't someone else will, and 
you don't whine at them because you be not doing a good job."

... do we really need to write that down? Explicitly, in a few ten thousand 
words to reduce ambiguity?

No, last team got torn apart by the "Do something ... Noooo! NOT THAT OMG WTF"

That stress made it basically impossible to get anything done, and the ensuing 
frustration soured the interpersonal reason until QA was mostly passive and 
angry.

I just don't care about the whining and continue my anti-breakage crusade. And 
so far there's only been about three people that got upset about masking 
broken stuff. The easiest way to get me to ignore you is to not cause any 
trouble, where trouble means "things not working". 

I'm busy enough with repoman-visible breakage, so don't expect me to be in a 
good mood if you actively cause more breakage: Current average is about 2-3 
new bugs I have to file every single day (mostly because no one else seems to 
have enough motivation)

Again, as stated on IRC: This is not personal. It's just that some of us have 
basic expectations of things working, so it's in your best interest not to 
violate these basic ideas. Make it personal and it will be personal, which I'm 
not really in the mood for ... such a waste of time that could be used for 
much more interesting things.
