Hence the two headed structure we have today. That means that Gentoo (the distro) cannot bring a legal action, nor=20 can it be the target of one. (There is no legal entity) We are very close to a standard corporate structure. I suspect if=20 there was ever any external (legal) pressure on Gentoo the distro, we=20 would adopt a standard corporate structure, with the trustees=20 (directors) looking after the business issues and the council looking=20 after technical issues as a committee of the Gentoo Foundation Inc. I won't speculate on the detail of any such change as what we have=20 works for us at the moment. The missing strand is someone with a=20 position in both groups, serving as a technical director. --=20 Regards, Roy Bamford (Neddyseagoon) a member of gentoo-ops forum-mods trustees --=-izsEi+gtn3KspgJIXPbC Content-Type: application/pgp-signature -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.15 (GNU/Linux) iEYEABECAAYFAkvRxuUACgkQTE4/y7nJvau9IQCgtQ+o5LKl9n9gbQwaP4YXqdqe BWcAoMSHQfyEmHNEkMSnoe7cJlakKJLn =kqQL -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --=-izsEi+gtn3KspgJIXPbC--
