(the company that donated 10+ PowerPC boxes to Gentoo developers recently) has asked me to ask you to take the developer survey available at this location: http://www.ppczone.org/modules/banners/click.php?op=3Dclick&bid=3D3 The survey is being conducted by Freescale Semiconductor (former Motorola Semiconductor), the designer of the PowerPC processor. Genesi has done a lot of legwork to increase Freescale's interest in Linux recently. Previously Freescale only showed a mild interest in Linux but Genesi has convinced them that there is a future for Linux, not only on servers and embedded systems but in other kinds of applications as well. They have already invested a large amount of money, for instance by donating 100+ PowerPC boxes to different projects (including Gentoo). If we show them that a lot of people use Linux on PowerPC desktop boxes, and other solutions, hopefully they will invest even more money in the future. //David Holm --=-ShTe74/ICK6bT/zoUgpf Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Description: This is a digitally signed message part -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.6 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQBBk8kIxVDe1wIoqX0RApK7AJ9CRsRN+vVol9bWBL258whMAkb6IwCeIdmF G3dOYwJhwPmHibC4L9DCJUI= =oTfw -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --=-ShTe74/ICK6bT/zoUgpf--
