hi all!
I have got a problem with some modules in this kernel version. I
recompiled the kernel with builtin support for the most impoortant, but
remains a problem with airport.
well, when i try to include the airport module i get an "unresolved
symbols" error within airport. the unresolved symbols are two:
pmu_register_sleep_notifier
pmu_unregister_sleep_notifier
.
this if I use a simple "depmod -ae". if I use "depmod -aeF
/boot/System.map-air" (that file includes the symbols of the kernel
last compiled) I get no errors.
well, when i do a "cat /proc/ksyms |grep pmu" I get out the two symbols
I listed above, plus a suffix "_R__ver_pmu_register_sleep_notifier" and
"_R__ver_pmu_unregister_sleep_notifier".
well, what-s the problem? the symbols are in the symbols table, but w/o
the related memory area where to find them? why the kernel behaves so?
sorry, i did not include any console output. it's due to keyboard and
mouse issues that I'll adjust soon. thanks in advance.

I have this same problem, although with the linux-2.4.20-ppc-r3
sources. When I enable PMU support (to get the /dev/pmu device) my
airport and dmasound modules do not load with the same unresolved
symbols you have listed above. When I disable the PMU support, things
work, but I can't use pmud or pbbuttonsd.
I just compiled a kernel with both the airport and dmasound drivers
compiled in instead of as modules. This worked for me.
