Hi,
Here are some ebuilds currently marked as ~ppc, but which are working
fine for me (iBook 800 MHz, rev. 2.2). Hope you don't mind the long-ish
list, but I finally got around to installing some often-used programs
recently.
gphoto2 & related:
sys-apps/usbutils-0.11-r3
sys-apps/hotplug-20030501-r2 (picked this since it's stable on x86)
media-libs/libexif-0.5.12
media-libs/libexif-gtk-0.3.3
media-libs/libgphoto2-2.1.2-r1
media-gfx/gphoto2-2.1.2
media-gfx/gtkam-0.1.10-r1
gnucash & related:
dev-lang/swig-1.3.16 (picked this since it's stable on x86)
dev-util/guile-1.6.4-r1 (doesn't compile with -O3, does with -O2
-- tip in the thread at http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=78893)
dev-libs/g-wrap-1.3.4 (segfaults during compile with guile-1.4-r3; install
guile-1.6.4-r1 first)
app-office/gnucash-1.8.6 (one release more recent than one reported on
this list recently)
Note about gnucash: at first, it refused to run, giving the following:
ERROR: In procedure open-file:
ERROR: No such file or directory: "/usr/share/guile/site/slib/mklibcat"
Oddly, /usr/share/guile/site/slib/mklibcat.scm *is* there. Tried 1.8.4
(stable on x86), but got the same result.
Solution (well, workaround): run gnucash once as root; after that, it
works fine when run as a normal user (idea from
http://www.mail-archive.com/gnucash-devel@lists.gnucash.org/msg02983.html)
mplayer & related:
media-libs/faad2-1.1 (compiles, but no AAC files handy for testing)
media-libs/libsndfile-1.0.4
media-libs/libdv-0.99.-r1 (again, no DV files to test)
media-libs/xvid-0.9.2-r1
media-video/mplayer-1.0_pre1
pda:
app-pda/pilot-link-0.11.8
app-pda/jpilot-0.99.6 (no ebuild in portage yet, alas; used ebuild from
http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=24394, which also works on x86)
other:
app-misc/xlockmore-5.08.2 (neither ppc or ~ppc in KEYWORDS)
emerge info:
Portage 2.0.49-r3 (default-ppc-1.4, gcc-3.2.3, glibc-2.3.2-r1, 2.4.20-ben10)
