[gentoo-portage-dev] ebuild question (dependencies)

Is it possible, or even planned, to include triggers
in ebuilds so that emerging gaim will auto-emerge any
installed gaim plugins, and emerging vpopmail will
auto-emerge any installed apps that depend on vpopmail
(like qmailadmin). This would be a sweet feature for
sure!

Yes, I've been looking for something like this for a long time. Here
is an example of a kind of work around for aspell for instance:

The developers dont seem to be very forthcoming though. -- I suppose
its quite hard to implement.
