interdomain would be how ciaran's HOME request would be pulled off; 
user's 'domain', configuration settings + prefix offset would try to

Haubi's is what I'd recommend.
Rewrite isn't anywhere near that sort of timeline.

I'd also note realistically pulling it off within 10 days might be 
tricky, due to the fact it requires ebuild modifications plus dusting 
off and updating haubi's patch, along with buttload of testing.

Or I'm just slow at implementing stuff. :)
