Hello,
Is it possible to have (e.g) 2 different versions of Squid Proxy installed
on the system ad choose which one to use?
Can this be done with SLOT's? If yes, how it can be done?
Is there any documentation available for the SLOT's feature?
Thanks in advance! :-)

Currently portage does not allow on-demand paralel installs. Slot's are
features of a particular ebuild that means that different slots do not
overlap or only trivially. As all squid ebuilds have the same slot it is
not possible to install paralel squid's.

Thanks a lot for your answer!
It was very helpful, considering the usage of SLOT's I thought it was on
demand SLOTing! :)
