Dear all, 
according to "git blame", this is the distribution of authorship across the 
current git master of the pms tex source.

Not that I particularly mind either way, but your stats are way off due
to reformatting. If you just use "git blame", someone who changes a \t
to a \em in a paragraph gets measured as writing that line and every
line in the paragraph following it.

If you're looking to change the authors list, I recommend doing so
based upon asking people whether they think they should be on there, and
adding anyone who says yes, rather than on bogus stats.

Oh, I think your request is fine, and your results are reasonable. I
just think letting anyone who can say with a straight face that they
should be there be there is a better measure than numbers that don't
tell you anything.

How about making it simpler and just putting Gentoo Foundation there?
That's what we do with eclasses and ebuilds.

Most of the contributors to PMS at the time the decision was made hadn't
signed the copyright transfer contract (and hadn't been asked to sign
it), so it's not Foundation copyright. Also, authors and copyright
owners aren't the same thing.

Placing my name first would be an even worse misrepresentation of
contributorship than what we have currently. So better keep names in
alphabetical order.

And maybe you should ask the next ones on the list (especially
David Leverton) if they want to be included too?

Thanks for thinking of me, but I don't think I've done enough to justify 
that (I'm surprised I'm that high on the list).  Possibly we could have 
a contributors section inside the document listing everyone, but I don't 
belong on the front page.
