[gentoo-perl] Term-Readline-Perl vs Term-Readline-GNU

[gentoo-perl] Term-Readline-Perl vs Term-Readline-GNU

Hello,

I need the Term-Readline-GNU library for some scripts concerning vim, but
only Term-readline-perl is available in gentoo. At least nowadays, because
it seems that in some period that library was in portage:
http://sources.gentoo.org/viewcvs.py/gentoo-x86/dev-perl/Term-ReadLine-Gnu/

Is there any reason for prefering Term-Readline-perl over
Term-Readline-GNU? 

What I have done is to install the GNU library manually. But is it possible
to have both of them installed at the same time?

gah, i thought i'd responded to this already. Sorry for the long delay
Xavier. iirc, term-readline-gnu was pulled because nothing depended on
it, and at one point it was merging upstream with term-readline-perl
(obviously since split again).
