[gentoo-nfp] Gentoo Foundaion Inc - President Wanted

Ladies and Gentlemen,

For those who don't know, the current President of the Gentoo Foundation
Inc. has retired from paid employment.
While he works out what to do with retirement, he is disengaging from
formal Gentoo roles.
Thus, the Gentoo Foundation Inc. has an opening for a President.

The Foundation bylaws define the office of President as:-
President. The President shall be the chief executive officer of the
foundation and shall have general and active management of the business
and affairs of the foundation , subject to the direction of the Board of
Trustees. If a Chairman of the Board is not elected, the President shall
preside at all meetings of the Board of Trustees and members.

Its important to be aware that this is an office and not a trustee role.
 As such, the  President advises and may set direction but does not have
a vote.
Officers of the Foundation can be anyone capable of discharging the
duty, they need not be developers or even Foundation members.  
It would be difficult for a minor to be President as they may need to
sign legal paperwork on behalf of the Foundation.

The Foundation is a not for profit body, incorporated in New Mexico,
USA.
It would be useful for applicants to have some knowledge of business
management, preferably in the USA.

Applications, emailed to trustees@gentoo.org, should be no more that one
side of A4/Letter, describing your experience and what you can bring to
the Foundation.
Be sure that if you have a vision for the foundation that you would like
to work towards, this is made clear.
The board will contact applicants to arrange further screening on IRC.
