I don't have any other candidates I wish to vote for at this time...are
preference ranks required for all of them?

<election official hat>
A ballot with only one candidate on it is perfectly valid.

However, please PGP sign your ballot and send it to the election
officials at <vote-trustees-201707@gentoo.org>:

"Members who aren't active Gentoo developers should mail their
GPG-signed ballot files to election officials who will verify
authenticity of those and pass them to infra so they are taken into
account while counting votes. Special care should be taken to ensure
the ballot is signed by the GPG key in the Foundation records."

Raymond,

For the avoidance of doubt, the condorcet method of voting works with
ranked lists. When candidales are not ranked on a ballot the missing
names are added with equal rank at the botton of the ballot.

Its OK to rank candidates equally that way on a ballot too.

Just to clarify this: Developers vote using votify on woodpecker.
For everyone else:

* Send a gnupg-signed e-mail to the voting officials at
     vote-trustees-201707@gentoo.org
with your ranking of the candidates
* The mail must be signed with the gnupg key that is on record for you.

This also means that voting is secret, and nobody (except the election
officials) knows who you voted for.
