Hi there,

I'm at Portugal and I want to start a new portage + distfiles mirror
here at my University.

We recently got our lines updated to 1Gbps to the world, so we think
that we are in a good position to make a great service to the world. We
got our servers prepared to receive the files and the load.

But we really need more info about were and how should we update our
mirrors, frequencies, publicity and others.

Can you please help me?

Sure, please read up on the following docs to help you setup stuff:

1) For rsync - http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/rsync.xml
2) For distfiles - http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/source-mirrors.xml

Once you've setup everything and it is in a working state, you can file
a bug under Mirrors in http://bugs.gentoo.org and we'll take it from there.
