Hello,

*** If you manage a Gentoo Portage mirror, please change the config to
sync from "masterportage.gentoo.org" instead of rsync1.us. You can use
the A or AAAA record at your discretion. ***

As you know, up to now, we've asked new Gentoo Portage mirrors to sync
from rsync1.us.gentoo.org. This was mainly for historical reasons.
However, we would like to use rsync1.us as a community mirror entry
someday and create similar DNS entries for distfiles and portage.
(masterdistfiles & masterportage).

Thanks again for your continued support of Gentoo Linux,
Jeremy

Hello

We switched the portage directory to the new server. it resolve to ipv6 by default however, We cannot connect using ipv6.
We get access denied.
We are forcing it to ipv4 for now as it is working but would it be possible to add the ipv6 address to the access list?

rsync6.ca.gentoo.org

2001:470:c0f2:1::20/64
67.212.64.3

Thanks

On a side note...
We are only doing a rsync of gentoo-portage for the new server.
should we point the distfiles synchronization to the same server?

  I've the same problem :

@ERROR: access denied to gentoo-portage from unknown (2a01:e0b:1:100:2e0:f4ff:fe1c:2969)

Sorry, I forgot to say that 2a01:e0b:1:100:2e0:f4ff:fe1c:2969
is gentoo.modulix.net (88.191.100.68) know as rsync4.fr.gentoo.org

Best regards.
