I agree. If we don't have the resources to build everything for everyone, lets just build what is mainstream at the moment. I don't know catalyst's internals or how painful it would be to update the whole set once per year or a bit longer, but it could be nice, because I'm not sure how possible would be to update a stage3 after > 1-2 years. But again, because I'm not in the MIPS industry, so can't say whether people are really using the older ISAs stages, if you suspect nobody is using them just do as you say and stop updating them, and we build any upon request.
