Hi,
A pal has asked me to put linux on his old mac laptop. ifconfig sees
eth0 but dhcpcd eth0 doesn't start networking. It is wired.
Has anyone any ideas?
tHANKS.

How about just running,
/etc/init.d/net.eth0 start
See if that gives any better results.

I guess I really don't have that much more of a suggestion. If dhcpd
is not getting an ip address then, I would then ask about your
network. How do other boxes on your network connect?
Sorry I can't be of more help,
Andrew

I seem to remember having trouble with dhcpcd on my old powerbook. I think I
used pump instead.
