Try this half-advices, maybe they can kick you to right direction :)

May-be in your kernel you have checked some pcmsia support (not as
 module). Emerged package can be kernel module also ...

Do you use the right kernel acpi configuration? 
What about trying to look on "default governor"

You need to emerge alsa-utils ;)
