Hi All,

I'm just about to change into Gentoo from Ubuntu,
since buying a laptop and wanna give a chance to it...

Does anybody have any experience with this laptop and
Gentoo:
Acer TravelMate 4402 LMI?
Which kernel would you advise?

Mind you the inkernel driver for Intel wireless, specifically ipw2200,
caused the firmware to crash and forced the device to restart all the
time under load. While it automatically reloaded it self, it was very
annoying. I switched to the external module the other day as it's a
bit more recent and according to the site
(http://ipw2200.sourceforge.net), fixes the crashing and haven't had a
problem since. Hopefully 2.6.16 while hurry up :-).
