I use Dell Latitude D410 which works fantastic. Only the graphics
chipset (intel) doesn't work in glx mode. Stable releases of Xorg
doesn't support i810 driver and you would have to install 6.8.99 masked
version. However glx mode doesn't work with or without dri snaphots
patched or not. 

The funny thing is that loading any of the kernel modules related to
acpi slows down the computer (don't know how) without installing acpi
daemon nor cpufreqd just modprobing ie: speedstep-centrino does it.
(2.6.13, 2.6.14 kernels)
