Hi everyone. I hope this is the proper place to post this. Please
forgive if not. The topic of the group did say it included
'discussion.'

I just emerge --sync(ed) and emerged gentoo-sources
(linux-2.6.22-gentoo-r5); did a zcat /proc/config.gz
>.config/config.gz; then a make oldconfig and I get:
arch/i386/Kconfig:94: can't open file "kernel/time/Kconfig". Any
ideas why? Where is that file? There isn't even a 'kernel' subdir
off /usr/src/linux

Thanks in advance,

-Kevin

Yeah, I guess my post was a little ambigious. I was in
/usr/src/linux when I did it. Still, the subtree is missing. Thanks
anyway.

Oh, yeah, and that was a cut and paste error. It was supposed to
say:

zcat /proc/config.gz >.config

:-)

This is probably the wrong place for that post... anyways I think what
your trying for is:

zcat /proc/config.gz > /usr/src/[foo]/.config

-J
