[gentoo-kernel] Kernel Panic on my first LiveDistro

Hi guys!
I am followin this guide to build a live distro:
http://gentoo-wiki.com/HOWTO_build_a_LiveCD_from_scratch#Kernel_and_initrd_time

I followed all the steps for building the kernel, but got this error at boot:

Is this a genkernel issue?

No, this is caused by not being able to mount
/newroot/mnt/cdrom/livecd.squashfs as noted a couple of lines above.
