Sun invited us early, but reserved the right to announce this themselves first. I don't see why that would upset you (or anybody else, for that matter). You may argue that we should have announced it to the mailing list simultaneously with the JavaOne announcement, but I wasn't online for the last few days, and now, the cat is well out of the bag.
