Having just updated my jdk, I am now receiving the following error
message when I try to run java-config:

Traceback (most recent call last):
    File "/usr/bin/java-config", line 14, in ?
      from java_config import jc_options
ImportError: No module named java_config

Anyone know what's happening here?

I sent the above message under the wrong email address, and in the 
meantime, I have found the problem.  I had enabled ~x86 on python to get 
some other packages installed, and I finally updated python itself to 
2.4.1-r1.  I had to emerge java-config again to get it working.

If you check what the python ebuild tells you in pkg_postinst() you see
that you have to run python-updater after updating python.
