Earlier in the summer I had indicated that I was working on a Java-centric
LiveCD ( called JDOS ) which was based on Gentoo and built using Catalyst.  

I have finally made the initial alpha release available. If anyone is
interested in looking at it and providing feedback, it can be downloaded from
https://jdos.dev.java.net .
