At least coreutils versions 5.2.1-r7 and 5.3.0-r2 id command doesn't
support the -Z switch for getting this sort of information out:
# id -Z
root:staff_r:staff_t
# newrole -r sysadm_r
Authenticating root.
Password:
# id -Z
root:sysadm_r:sysadm_t
Just getting:
# id -Z
id: invalid option -- Z
Try `id --help' for more information.
I filed a bugzilla entry of this also:

Got my answer to this one via bugzilla. Using 'id -c' until coreutils
version 5.93 or newer.
Kinda interesting though how a book that was published in October 2004
suggest already -Z flag. The book being the O'Reilly SELinux. Oh well,
everything doesn't reach mainstream always so fast. :)
