Subject: [gentoo-hardened] etdyn and propolice packages in gentoo
Date: Sun, 15 Jun 2003 14:03:57 +0200 (CEST)	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <34268.192.168.1.123.1055678637.squirrel@nikita.ath.cx> (raw)

good morning,

does gentoo-linux plan on using etdyn executables for grsecurity?
www.Adamantix.org has success in compiling debian packages with this
security protection for ELF binaries.

i would like to see that in gentoo also.

it is basically about a compiler patch (ProPolice) and userland changes
to ET_DYN binaries (custom ELF interpreter, binaries compiled with gcc
-shared -etdyn), as noted on the grsecurity and PaX website.

please follow me up on this topic and leave your input at:

http://www.plus-linux.de/wiki.cgi?GrsecurityHowTo

i would appreciate your statement,

thank you in advance,

Alex
