After the mails from ciaranm, I realized, that my previous approach
concerning catapult has been quite naïve. Now I see what this job really
requires. And neither I have time nor I am keen on providing this.

Thus I'm giving this project away. Perhaps anybody out there wants to
take it...
I still find this an interesting project, so I would be glad if there
would be someone to wake the project from coma...

I'll take all this as lessons in certain subjects (dbus, fuse, cmake,
swig, cython) - and reality.

Thanks all for support,
Necoro

This is indeed a good idea , though as I have mentioned before, I would
prefer to work around it from a different perspective (a plain C library
instead of a dbus daemon).

For now I don't expect to work on this project, but it's in TODO list ;-)

Regards and keep that code around for further reference,

This is what I came to, too. I just realized, that
a) dbus adds to much overhead
b) dbus experience can be reduced a lot on slow systems (due to
timeouts) - as the calls involved can be really consuming. This is
perhaps in contrary to the usage in most dbus applications

Though I still like the idea of putting dbus-bindings on top (optional
of course). And then only once.

I also was in the mid of getting a c-lib to access portage.

Of course :) - though I don't think it can be re-used. Except perhaps
the "access portage from c" part.
