Hmm This one is intresting.....
I think it should be done with-in the kernel..
I took a look in the kernel config, but you only can select other keyboards ... It doesn't seem to be able to not support "normal" keyboards.
I also have "serial console only" systems (via epia) and keyboard support is on, but I'm not using it..

The official Gentoo motto is, "If it moves, compile it."
Hello,
I'm trying to setup an embedded server using a VIA EPIA motherboard (x86). I
chose to write the kernel messages to the serial console in order to throw
away my screen and my keyboard. The next step was to configure grub to use
the serial console. I did not know that was possible, but I found and
followed : http://www.rajeevnet.com/linux/grub_serial_console.html
And it worked !
Now I have a little question : How can I disable the support for the keyboard
and the standard console in the kernel ? It seems their support is always
enabled on x86. Does anyone has a piece of advice ?
Thanks !
