Hi folks,

are there any people here who're working on trimming down mozilla ?

I'd like to kick off a lot of things (ie. help, profile wizards,
etc), but I'm not yet familiar with the code internals.

If this is OT on this list, I'd just set up a new one for that.

thx

There is minimo, a Mozilla Foundation project. Unfortunately, the
Linux port lags behind the Windows CE port.

The build process is similar to its bigger brothers, but uses a
different mozconfig. See
http://www.mozilla.org/projects/minimo/build.html for details. There
is no ebuild in the official Portage Tree.

I built minimo once on a glibc 2.2-based Linux system, but never been
able to build a Gecko-based browser under a uclibc-based system. I
will try again when 2006.1 embedded stages will be released. However,
some people successfully built Mozilla for uclibc.

I began to do it for minimo (part of mozilla-cvs) and came down to <10MB.
The first you can start with, after running ./configure, read the config
file created and try to disable the stuff there
