I have some custom wireless hardware that I need to write
a driver for, was hoping you could point me in some direction
to get started?

I never wrote a driver, but I found two interesting books :

Linux Device Drivers, 2nd Edition
By Alessandro Rubini & Jonathan Corbet
2nd Edition June 2001
0-59600-008-1, Order Number: 0081
586 pages
http://www.xml.com/ldd/chapter/book/

Title: Understanding the Linux Kernel
First Edition: October 2000
ISBN: 0-596-00002-2
Pages: 702
http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/linuxkernel/

I hope it will help you.

There's a newer version of this book which is available for free at
http://lwn.net/Kernel/LDD3/ - if you find it useful, you should
consider supporting the authors by buying a hard copy.
