yes its all the packages. and all the drivers. You boot on the iso, then
you just install what you need into ram.

apk_add bind && /etc/init.d/named start

You can do pretty much of an old pentium with 64 MB ram.

Cool. Its only a 2 Mbit line so be patient.

Look at http://alpinelinux.org for the basic concept and some thin
documentation.
