Hola,
That guide needs update.
So it might be better to update it first, just drop by on #gentoo-kde and any 
HT or dev around can give you current approach. When you have updated guide it 
might be smart to translate. But currently you have guide for 4.1 slightly 
updated to work for 4.2 :D
