I'm submitting it here for a final review. It's intended to replace the existing postgres-howto.xml. Some items that have been removed from this version of the documentation from the old one: - No comparison to MySQL - Does not instruct users to give the 'postgres' system user a password (A potential security risk) - Does not instruct users in creating a database and/or role (This is better left to the official tutorial, which this doc points to) [1] http://dev.gentoo.org/~titanofold/postgresql.xml - - Aaron -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.17 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iF4EAREIAAYFAk4pc60ACgkQCOhwUhu5AEkqcwD8CIBymIwoEyq2fE0XzW8Mzig2 HkNeAzFFnm7kBMHKmTwA/13grpyqafc4Nb5ouoG9Aszd4RavMoA/YOkrf49gmSEM =UR79 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ^ permalink raw reply [flat|nested] 8+ messages in thread

Perhaps you can invalidate the attachments in bug #330927 and also mark #300236 as a duplicate of #330927? Wkr, Sven Vermeulen ^ permalink raw reply [flat|nested] 8+ messages in thread

I'll fix it when I get home tonight. I've obsoleted those attachments, but 300236 isn't really a duplicate. Three or four bugs will be fixed when the doc gets placed, so I'll close it then.
