Math problems are generally agreed to be reasonably universal, however,=20 tho that can change if wording is chosen to try to defeat a machine=20 solution (running into the language problem again). Spelling captchas...= =20 tend to run into problems with folks that can't spell. That's apparently= =20 a big enough problem a lot of sites try and reject spelling captchas.
