IOW, let's not let the (closer-to-)perfect be the enemy of the good. That has unfortunately stalled progress before. Let's not let it happen=20 this time. It's going to take some time to get the new eselect profile=20 features coded, tested, and thru the system (including deprecating the ol= d=20 version and profiles). We might as well have the benefit of the spit=20 desktop profiles while the ultimate solution's being worked on, especiall= y=20 since this one's pretty much ready to go now (days to weeks, including th= e=20 mentioned documentation delay, not months or years). --=20 Duncan - List replies preferred.
