Hi all.
It's time for BugDay again! Lots of users and developers alike will join
forces september 4th to fix as many bugs as possible and have a great
time doing so.
It's also with great pleasure that I'm announcing the new BugDay webpage
at http://bugday.gentoo.org
I hope this webpage will make BugDay an even better experience for all
of us and help keep focus on fixing bugs instead of searching for open
bugs :)
The webpage, being a bugday project, was in large part developed by
Bjarke Istrup Pedersen. Bjarke is one of many BugDay participants that
helps make it a nice and friendly experience.
Thank You Bjarke for your hard work on the webpage and to all other
BugDay participants.

Just a quick comment about the Old category: There are some bugs that
are even older and probably forgotten, where "days since last change" is
"greater than" "365".

wow, that page is f*ing cool. This makes it really easy to find bugs
that need attention. I hope that this is always updated(it looks like
it is), and not just for bugdays.

I note that this page contains a bug currently assigned to the webapps herd.
If anyone commits a web-based package to Portage, they need to
a) list themselves as the primary maintainer in metadata.xml
b) add themselves to the webapp herd (both herds.xml and the mailing alias)
c) fix bugs for their package when they are reported
I'm more than a little tired of how we've become a dumping ground for lots of
ebuilds abandoned by other devs.
Thank you for your co-operation,
Stu
