I'm pretty sure that https://bugs.gentoo.org/389391 was resolved years 
ago. I actually recall encountering it way back when and I definitely do 
not experience that issue now.

With that said, I use this package, it works, and I don't think it 
really needs much maintenance. So I'll take it over.
