Anybody wants to step up and maintain x11-plugins/wmi8k?

Provided that:
- Latest version in Portage has been in "~x86" for about five months
- It does not compile on my machine (this means it is broken at
least on 2.6 kernels, I'm not going install a 2.4 one to try it)
- I cannot fix/test it as I don't have the necessary hardware
- Nobody is apparently maintaining it

I'm going to wipe it out of the Portage tree entirely in a week, if
nobody does anything to it in the mean time...

Regards,
Michele Noberasco
lonely dockapp maintainer

The fact is that now I'm pretty busy implementing Symphony in C++ so I
had to put it apart for a lil bit. I hope in three weeks, when I hope
to have finished the basic implementation to have more time.

Even though that, mantaining a single ebuild does not require that much time :-)

I'll try to give a shot to these ebuilds... is there an open bug for it?

True ;-)
Have you got the hardware to test it?

No, feel free to open one.

About hardware: I could manage to have the ebuild up and running but a
Dell laptop... hmm a hard thing :S

Well, the ebuild is OK already...
It's the app that does not even compile on 2.6 kernels...
Without the hardware to test it, well, good luck to you ;-P

You are right in fact... perhaps it should be a person with the
hardware the one to mantain the ebuild.

That is why I posted this message ;-)
But if nobody steps up, I'm going to rip this out of the Tree, as I
cannot maintain the ebuild myself...
